I ordered 4 iron bistro chairs from St. Simon's Beach Rentals.  The chairs depicted on their website were the same as iron bistro chairs sold by Horchow.com.  The photos that St. Simons used were the same photos on Horchow.com as well.

The chairs were supposed to have a very natural iron finish.  The chairs I received were a cheap knockoff with a painted gray finish (very matte, powdery finish).  I took photos of the chairs to show side by side comparisons to the chairs that they had advertised on their site.  It is obvious that the chairs are not even close to being the same finish.

St. Simon's refuses to refund my money stating that they sell the exact sames chairs as Horchow.

Also, I ordered the chairs back on 12/14/2010 and was told it would take about 3 weeks to receive the chairs.  Seven weeks later, the chairs arrived.  They blamed it on the shipping company, and never took ownership of the problem and are now handling this fraudulent transaction in the same manner.

UPDATE ON ST. SIMONS BEACH RENTALS COMPLAINT

AUTHOR: Indy73 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, April 08, 2011

Well, this is finally resolved but certainly not due to St. Simons stepping up and admitting fault.  I filed complaints with the state of Georgia's Governor's office of consumer protection and I filed a dispute with my credit card company.

Even after multiple complaints and clear proof of wrong doing, this company still refused to refund my money.

I received a letter from my credit card company on March 16, 2011 following their investigation into my dispute.  They fully refunded my money from this fraudulent transaction with St. Simons Beach Rentals.

I also filed a complaint with Horchow's legal department; they thanked me for bringing St. Simons actions to their attention so the matter could be investigated further.

Beware of this company; low quality improperly advertised products and horrendous customer service.
