First I have never met Clarita Herrera from San Antonio, who is the person who filed this complaint.  She was never hired to be a writer for Tejano Nation Magazine...I tried to help her by telling her that if she had a good working knowledge of fashion, perhaps she could write for us even though she has no experience being a journalist or writer.  I had several on the phone 2 hour sessions going over journalism rules and what we were looking for.  From the beginning she was told we were just starting and everyone was working out of their homes and apartments...that if a writer's submission was accepted for publication, it was pay on 30 days after publication in the magazine.  She could never finish the two stories she tried to write...I went over with her how to improve the story idea...gave her questions to ask and spoon fed her through the process...then I noticed she began to make unrealistic demands because she wanted to go see her son graduate from basic marine training that she wanted to be paid $150 to $300 dollars before she would do anything and then started to try to blackmail me by saying she would file complaints against our publication and tell her friends if I did not pay her. I told her it was not good enough.  She began to demand wanting to know who our investors were, who was working for the publication and I told her it was none of her business and that no one was trying to rip her off...to the contrary we were trying to give her a chance to prove herself.  We had asked for a headshot of her to be used in the event we used any of her submissions...but all we got was out of focus pictures of her full length...it was then that we told her that if she couldn't get the head shot perhaps one of the photographers could do it.  She began to act very unprofessional...calling numerous times a day and because I did not answer her she began to accuse us of having a fake business...about the wifi...at McDonalds...I told her that were trying to save money and get the first issue out...so like many businesses today...they go to free wifi locations....starbucks,  Mcd's, etc. She accused me of being fake and demanding to see any issue of our publication which we told her was a work in progress as we were trying to find the right  team. Then she said another publisher had contacted her and wanted to pay her for her stories...I told her if he was willing to pay her for work never done or completed or accepted ahead of time...then to go for it because that just wasn't done for any writer in the publishing business, especially one with no college degree or experience.  She started acting worse...and I finally deleted her from my FB page, which I have every right to do.


I am a very well respected person in the journalism and public relations field.  I am a published writer.  I have worked for major record labels...EMI Latin, Sony Discos,etc.  About her charges that all I want is free CD's is totally crazy!  Like any publication we need press kits and full Cd's from artists and their reps if they want to be considered for coverage.  Finally The Tejano industry has been in hard times, since Selena's death...so it has taken more that four years of hard work to make Tejano NATION magazine finally launch.  But people like Clarita Herrera, who is so full of herself and  always would bring up that she was so beautiful that  she was always being hit on by men  everywhere and getting them to buy her things, etc.  I never took her out, I have never met her in person, only spoke to her on the phone until I realized that she was nothing but a "drama Queen!"  I just found out about this bogus complaint from friends who came across it recently.  Normally I would not bother with such an EVIL person, but she has libeled and slandered me.  This needs to stop or I will have no choice but to have my attorney filed a lawsuit...but then....she has no money and after my bad experience with her.. it's very apparent she is a "hustler" and golddigger.  Finally as to her charges making me sound like some type of pervert...I have worked for major school districts in San Antonio Texas and have passed numerous criminal background checks...I have never been in trouble with the law...EVER....I hope this nonsense stops now...I know I have the truth on my side...I will be glad to meet her in a court of law anyday if need be.

Again, she was always bringing up her need for money...she asked me what else she might be able to do...I told her we would be having a Model of the Month and wanted classy photos...to be considered she would submit samples of her along with her information...like height, color eyes, color hair, weight and measurements.   This is standard if someone wants to get modeling/fashion work...legitimate work.   I am a hard working and honest person...anyone who I have worked with in the music business will tell you...from artists, their lawyers, etc.  I hope this settles this BOGUS charge.
