I was reaching the Palm Springs area, with my driver and dogs suffering; we even had to turn on the heater full force to avoid overheating. Amazing. They directed me to their Palm Desert area shop, where the owner stopped everything to work on my truck, resented it and it showed. He wouldnt tell me anything about his progress, then after about 4 hours I called Uhaul to tell him to release the truck; I could wait no longer. He threatened my life then said he would beat me up when I left his office. I called the cops for police escort off the premises.
The grades out of Phoenix were as bad, and I moved the dogs to the 2nd truck back; they were dying, and it took a lot of box moving but we saved them. We were extremely late arriving in Chino Hills, I had to hire a LaboReady crew to offload and send the drivers back in an expensive Avis one-way rental. We had go stay overnight in a hotel but got no rest. The entire schedule was woven to include my wife driving a truck and trailer with our livestock but that went all to hell also, needless to say. It was an absolute fiasco, and physically harmful at many levels.
The regional manager doesnt respond to my emails or calls and Im going after them in Riverside CA Superior Court for actual and punitive damages.
Can you help me post this on your site?

Search TipsGramps, age 73, decides to move himself in three count em, three - U-Haul trucks plus the wife was driving the pick up towing a trailer loaded with livestock. Gramps waited until the hottest time of the year and the middle of U-Hauls busiest time of the year to make this mass exodus from Riverside, CA, to Chino Valley, AZ. Of course, he chose a route that would take him through two of North Americas hottest communities, Indio and Phoenix.
Gramps decided to ride in one of the U-Hauls with a pack of dogs. The A/C went out in that U-Haul but Gramps stuck it out instead of moving to one of the other trucks. Then he got all pissed off because the repair guy would not give him a minute-by-minute account of what he was doing. No surprise, the mechanic threatened to kick Grampas butt. That probably happens to Gramps a lot.
Of course, U-Haul caused everything to go wrong. Gramps had to hire people to unload the trucks for him. Can you believe that? Gramps had to rent a car to get his drivers back home and of course that is U-Hauls fault, too.
U-Haul ruined his sleep in the hotel and caused him to have a heart attack! Imagine that: a 73-year-old man with vision and respiratory problems has a heart attack. Whooda thunk it? And so when he had his heart attack his response was to call the U-Haul dealer instead of the paramedics.
Gramps, you could have saved yourself a lot of trouble and money if you would have rented a car in Riverside, drove it with the dogs in it to Chino Valley, and then sent your drivers back in the rental car. Didn't think of that, did you?
By the way, Gramps, the name of the truck rental company is U-Haul, not Uhal. In Chino Valley, they are located on Sunshine Lane, not Son Shine. I bet that damned U-Haul made you stupid, too.
