Western NY Hot Deals.com is a typical coupon "buying" scam!!! http://www.wnyhotdeals.com is run by Regent Broadcasting of Buffalo, Inc. and they make you think they are an advertiser but they are not! It is run by the radio station Jack FM.

They say that you can buy coupons or certificates for "hot deals" but this is just a scam worked out with the companies that advertse with them.

You can get better deals by calling the companies that advertise on there directly and not have to wait 2 weeks for some worthless certificate!!!

If a company such as wny hot deals .com wants you to by a coupon or certificate run! It is a scam! If you have bought any of these certificates complain to the actual company and they will give you free services!!! If they don't call the BBB or Attorney General.

No real company makes you pay for coupons!

These "Coupons" are a Scam

AUTHOR: Matt - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 02, 2009

Just call the companies directly and you will see that WNY Hot Deals is just a scam and a rip off. I called Best Fitness in Tonawanda, NY  and they gave me a FREE month and their actual cost is only $25 per month, not the $50 per month that Western New York Hot Deals/ Regent Broadcasting says.

They artificially inflate the price and make you pay shipping and handling for what you could get if you just call the companies direct!

WNY hot Deals is such a scam! Any advertisers that are on there should be ashamed!!!

Call the companies on Western New York Hot Deals direct and you will get a much, much better deal!

I have had such positive experiences with WNY Hot Deals in the past that I looked them up again for Xmas shopping this year.  When I found this rip off report while I was searching for the site through Google, I was very surprised.  I just had to respond...

I obviously can't speak to every offer ever made available through this site.  I can say that when I've paid, for example $10 for a $20 gift certificate, that's a deal.  Even if you need to add in S&H it's cheaper than buying full priced items/services at the business. In the end, it's saving money.  How is that a rip off?? I've gotten to buy $20 worth of a given product for less than $20.    (Add on top of that any sale prices at the business, and you're golden!  This is like getting 50% off PLUS whatever the sale is! Double decker deal!)  I've used at least 10 gift certificates from this site and never once was disappointed, rejected, or encountered any sort of problem.

I should also mention that the site does not try to "hide" the fact that it is associated with radio stations.  In fact, the home page says "From your friends at:" and lists four radio stations.  That is not sketchy in any way!  Every metro area seems to have this type of site associated with a radio station or tv channel.  It's a partnership that seems to have great success for both the businesses and the media.

BTW, if you're still skeptical, search eBay for coupons.  There's a reason people buy coupons!  (They save more using them than they spend buying them!)
