William Boneberg Landlord Security Deposit Webster, New York

William ("Bill") Boneberg of 645 Maris Run Webster, NY 14580, ("Webster Properties LLC") wrongfully refuses to return security deposits to former tenants. 

After being given the okay by Bill, we ended our lease 2 weeks early (June 15th, 2012) New tenants were found to move in right away. Upon our departure, our keys and new address were left on the counter as agreed, and the rental was left in clean and good condition. Bill told us he usually gets the security deposits in the mail shortly after the lease ends.

Bill was contacted via phone approximately 2 weeks later in July 2012, and we were told that "they" must have forgotten to mail it, and that it would be in the mail the next day. Over a week later, we called again and were told the same thing. After that phone call, we still did not receive our security deposit. 

At this point, Bill decided to stop answering our phone calls, voicemails and texts. We called approximately 8 more times between July 2012-September 2012. At this point, we realized we were being scammed and chose to inform Bill we would be pursing the Attorney General, and small claims court if we did not receive our security deposit.

I would like to add- this is not the only issue with Bill. We had hundreds of dollars of belongings stolen from our "shared" attic storage space. We informed him of this - and it took him 3 weeks to install a lock on the door. The least he could do is return our deposit so we could replace some of these belongings.

We want other apartment hunters and tenants to see this so they know to avoid dealing with Bill Boneburg.
