We have information that should give caregivers pause before placing a loved one at Willow Creek Assisted Living in Las Vegas.
Donald Herman, Managing Member at Willow Creek, is a ticking time bomb. Not only has his mismanagement of the facility led to the resignations of Willow Creek's president of operations as well as their head of marketing as a result of shady business practices related to the financial proceeds there -- misappropriation of funds -- but we now have knowledge of a suicide there that is directly related to Donald Herman's cavalier attitude towards firearms.
Donald Herman's lack of discretion and concern for securing high-powered weapons has led to the death of his nephew. Donald Herman gave his nephew an AR-15 assault rifle, and his nephew used it to commit suicide. The AR-15 is a semiautomatic, civilian version of the military's M16 rifle.
Herman also carries around a backpack that holds high-powered hand guns as well as pain pills, such as Dilaudid, a powerful narcotic, which he abuses regularly. Guns and drugs, even legally obtained prescription medications, are a dangerous combination at any level. Think about it. Is Willow Creek the kind of place you'd want to have your parents or loved ones residing?
Donald Herman took millions of dollars from his former fiancee, Julie, and her family for his operation at Willow Creek. And how does he handle that investment? By squandering those millions on matching Lexus's, several ATV vehicles and hundreds of guns.
Is this the kind of activity you want to hear about relating to the Managing Member of an assisted care facility like Donald Herman and Willow Creek Assisted Living in Las Vegas?
It's time for the public to know what's really going on behind those closed doors.
