We paid $6500 for a service dog for my special needs son and ended up with an untrained not housebroken dog.
The contract says no refunds
The first dog died before placement in our home.(July 4 2012) A second dog named Lucy was then to be trained and possibiliby placed during Christmas Break 2012. Lucy was not ready so Feb. 15th 2013 is the new date, the date moved back to April 1. An interim dog was tried but growled and bite my special needs son. Lucy placement date was pushed back to June. When the date was pushed back till August I became angry and filed with BBB. They refused to refund money or give us the dog. After much fighting we did get Lucy. She is completely untrained. To get her We sign paper that we woud not sue them.
I feel we were set up in a scam. They prey on special need children. It is sad because my son was waiting and waiting for his dog. The money is gone and he does not get the help he needs.
