Short story, NSF YES, NON SUFFIECIENT FUNDS FEE. I HAD AN ISSUE THIS YEAR WITH ALTA AND THEIR 30.00 NSF AND NOW AGAIN. MICA IS The key wors if you have unauthorized fees coming out if your account, and your account has not enough money to cover them then the NSF just keep pilling up and you cannot stop them then the branch needs to change the Mica number within your personal electronic account. Let me just say that the only way this credit union stays alive is by their NSF FEES. I HAD PAID OVER 400.00 in fees in the past and now another issue came up and Nsf fees started being charge again because they say my items were paid because they had me on a courtesy pay! Well, I had already signed a paper during the last incident and the so called courtesy pay was suppose to have been stopped!. If they being the branch manager had done her job right and taken the courtesy pay off like she was suppose too then there would be no 30.00 NSF FEES WHAT SO EVER! This credit union will keep paying for a one cent payment then charge you 30.00 each time a penny is paid for even a non authorized transaction and they will continue to pay for your items even though your account is 400.00 in the negative. Agenda one day afyer christmas a letter will be sent to the mayor of California city and to the CEO OF ALTA ONE FCU. Be careful consumers they want your money!

The Credit Union is not your problem.

I had already signed a paper during the last incident and the so called courtesy pay was suppose to have been stopped!

- Yes what you signed was to "Opt-Out" of the Standard Debit Card Overdraft Protection.   When you "Opt-Out" whenever you attempt to use your Debit Card or ATM at a Point of Sale or ATM if you do not currently have enough available in your account the transaction will be declined.  This does NOT guarantee that you will never overdraft.  For one it does not cover Checks or ACH transactions, those can(just like they alway have been) be either paid or returned by the bank/credit union.  It also does not cover a case where you had enough available for the purchase, but say like at a resturant you added a tip that put you into overdraft.

Now IF you have an unauthorized transaction you need to put in a dispute with the Credit Union.  If they deny your dispute you need to take it up(including any fees that they caused) with that other company.  As the bank/credit union is not at fault for the overdraft

You have not made it quite clear what responsibility you take over your account.  Do you keep a written register?  If not this is the first thing you need to start doing.  On-Line banking was never meant to be the sole method of account management.  It only knows what you have spent..after it receives the transaction.  Depending on various factors(out of the control of the bank) this could be anywhere from a day to several days.  However, if you keep a register and write down EVERY transaction you make when you make it, and never attempt to spend more than you have available you will find it is just about impossible to overdraft.

YOU!   It's obvious you don't keep an accurate, up to date check register. If you don't know how or why you should do this ask a credit union employee for help or just keep paying those NSF fees.  This keeps costs lower for the rest of us that DO keep and accurate, up to date check register.

BTW, what are the "unauthorized fees" you have coming out of your account?  Have you signed up for "free" offers that then bill you after a trial period?  You're leaving out an explanation of the source(s) of these unauthorized fees.

"Agenda one day afyer christmas a letter will be sent to the mayor of California city and to the CEO OF ALTA ONE FCU."

What, exactly have THEY done that violates banking principles or laws?  Your complaints are likely going nowhere.  You would have this problem with ANY banking institution.  Update your report letting us know how it works out for you.
