My husband has COPD and empheizma. I have had 6 surgeries in the past 7 months. I had just gotten home from back surgery when the small water leak happened. ASAP was dispatched by our Home Warranty Company, AHS. We had water slowly dripping into our kitchen. Their service man is Eddie. Eddie looked at the drip and went upstairs and messed with the plumbing. He also left a nasty full handprint on the wall. That leak turned into a waterfall in my kitchen. He claims he cleaned out a large clog. How do you clean out a large clog thru the drain hole in the bottom of the tub. That we did not have.

The bathtub always drained fast. He then told us there is a big problem. Really bad he added. He said they were going to have to tear out my entire guest bath, possibly the master bath. Eddie said it was major problem. He then said they would have to remove part of the foundation to get to the plumbing under the slab. I called my insurance as that it a lot of expense. Nationwide sent out their plumbing expert. After about 10 minutes he came downstairs and told us it was fixed. It was the ring around the drain was loose and that was making it leak a small amount. Eddie, made it worse, I believe he may have unscrewed it more. This caused the water like a waterfall.

Thank you Nationwide you are the best!!!! Part of the service call was to checkout our jacuzzi bathtub. He looked at the motor while we present. He looked for maybe 3 minutes and said he would call us back regarding the tub. He told AHS That he got 3 error codes. (FROM THE MOTOR, AS that is all he looked at.) 1. The jets were bad 2. The bubbler was bad 3. There was mold growing in the pipes. All from looking at a motor, that spoke to him. I am impressed. Not, a real plumbing company came out and it was the control panel. I believe that we are older, and he thought we would be an easy target. I wonder if Eddie unscrewed the drain ring.
