Dear Mr. Asplundh Representative. All of us have real jobs but you.  You spend your time trying to clean up the vomit that Asplundh spews in their path of destruction.  The wronged property owners are not alone in complaining about Asplundh, because there is a list of THOUSANDS of documented complaints. They tell the truth and the Whole truth. Warning others is not bashing, after all we do have pictures, witnesses, video and a petition list of names from the homeowners that Asplundh has hurt by damaging their precious property.  If you and Asplundh don't like these sad facts then Asplundh should do something to improve itself.  Do a better trimming job, pay your employees a decent salary, hire legitimate workers that are properly trained.  We know you won't because then you would have to pay your workers a competitive salary and force them to do a good job.  No more lowest bid.

Hopefully the companies that have hired Asplundh in the past will know better than to hire them again. If you work for them and we suspect you do then you work for evil.

In conclusion Mr. Asplundh who thinks he knows it all, representative I did work for a power company but QUIT.  My name is not Sherry but I do work for someone that represents her and about 3,500 others at this time. 

Hello Sherry, just spending a little time off from my "real" job surfing the net. I've followed several threads and noticed you seem to be quite the asplundh basher. Being an asplundh employee (who is also a member of the international brotherhood of electrical workers ) I'm not really in love with asplundh . I did however like working outside my whole career -32 yrs and counting, and doing the work I do. I'm pretty sure you don't work for the power company because if you hate anything to do with it like you do , I'm sure you would have found another job sooner than the seven risky years you've been doing yours. And when you log on to write a rebuttal you'll be doing it using power that individuals have spent lots of effort providing for you. I don't know who did you wrong in the past, asplundh or the power co , but it's hard to believe your crusade could be caused only by the situation ( however wrong) that occurred on your property

What makes you think I don't work for the power company.   Its good to know I am appreciated for all the risks I have been taking for the past 7 years. When Asplundh shows up we have NEVER SEEN A SIGN OR A FLAGMAN because they were in too much of a hurry to deal with any safety.  They creep in  while people with real jobs are at work, rip and shred every living thing near a power line and run off.  You must be their lawyer.  We will save our sympathy for all the homeowners Asplundh has pissed off.

I am pleased to see Ken is at least using the brain he was given and is able to understand the common sense that comes with the job!  For those of you that complain about what these workers do, let me ask you, are any of you willing to climb a tree or swing in a bucket to cut tree limbs near utility lines to prevent or assist in repairing an outage knowing full well the risks that are involved in being around the voltage that is there?  I didn't think so. 

When you complain about a sign near your house, that just says you have nothing better to do and enjoy being miserable, I bet your town loves you!!  The trucks parked in the middle of the road... well let's see manipulating the bucket isn't as easy as they make it look and if they don't give you room to go around them chances are they don't want you to go around them!  That's why they use those annoying signs to tell you there is work ahead! 

I have heard where idiots decide to go through the signs and drive under the bucket while the workers are doing their job and guess what if a limb falls who do you think gets blamed?  ya the workers even though they zoned their area and took precautions and some idiot just thought they had more right then anyone else!  grow up and appreciate the job these folks do to give and or return power to your sorry self because many go out for long hours, they are out in all types of weather and they aren't doing it for their health or benefit!

I am NOT an Asplundh owner, I am NOT on the board of directors and I do NOT have any employees. I have been happily retired for a number of years. Everything I posted was factual and you are free to disregard it or attribute it to someone else if you see fit. Utilities paid for their right of way and have pretty much control over it, like it or not.

I would continue, but I need to put the annoying signs in the yards and park my HUGE gas guzzling truck in the very middle of the street...this is SO much fun irritating all the neighborhood.

Oh and I need to cash the check I just received from them for this rebuttal, defending them. According to posters on Ripoff Report, I now work for over 40 companies...I'm REALLY busy, but it pays well.

Is the sign in your yard, the right of way or the street?  If in the street or right of way, forget it. If in your yard, ask them not to put it there.

"also their big gas guzzling trucks can't be too good for the environment either" Are they breaking any laws with these "big gas guzzling trucks?" Should they instead use numerous small, non-gas guzzling trucks?

Perhaps you, being the kind of neighbor you are, should ask the neighbors to stop cutting their trees, move the sign to the middle of the street by the big gas guzzlers and report the truck owners to the EPA and anybody else who will listen to your b*tching.

The next time you see them anywhere start calling the INS and local police.  Take lots of pictures or videos. Take them to court if we all sue them to death they will have to charge more for their lousy service.
