It is understandable that someone would be upset about a claim filed that does not end up in payment; however, there are several things to consider here. First, AutoLifeRx is a radiator additive product that comes with a limited agreement which offers coverage on the internal components of the vehicle listed on the customer form. Though the form is only a couple of pages long, many times that form is not thoroughly read through by the person purchasing the product; therefore, they are left with only their interpretation of what was sold to them by the auto dealers themselves. The very reason we do not sell direct to consumer is that we want our customers to have a chance to read through the coverage and sign a copy stating that they have done so.
The AutoLifeRx customer agreement is very specific as to what could be covered and what is not covered and there is no mention of coverage for an o2 sensor (which is an emissions item) a throttle body or the differential (which is part of the drive shaft). We have a very strong history paying claims and taking care of our customers but there will always be those who feel they were dealt an unfair hand. Without knowing the circumstances by which this claim was allegedly denied it is impossible to provide a concise answer to this customer's concern. I would encourage the person who made this original complaint to contact AutoLifeRx directly for a complete explanation on what happened during the investigation of his or her claim which ultimately led to the decision of denial.
Thanks,
