Car Hire UK Refused to return deposit nationwide

 We rented a vehicle for our vacation in England for a week

The company requested a $2000 deposit. This deposit was to be repaid on return of the Vehicle

Depsite numerous calls and emails we kept getting the run around stating that they were not able to return it to our credit card. or that the person we were dealing with was no longer there. I have emails promising the return of our money but to date we are unabel to get our deposit back. I have written to consumer groups but they tell me that they cannot do anything
