Citi Mortgage Wrongful foreclosure O'Fallon, Missouri

Citi Mortgage is the most mismanaged, out of control financial organization imaginable.  The lost two of my mortgage payments and eventually filed foreclosure proceedings against me, despite my repeated efforts to fax them copies of the checks that were cashed by them on time.  What followed was a 13 month nightmare that included at least three modification agreements that were filled with errors.  The first one they sent me was intended for another person with all their private info on it.  During this ordeal, I had over 50 contacts with various company representatives.  I was misled and lied to continually.  They had no way of documenting my contact with them, so with each phone call, I had to start over again. 

I was promised agreements that were never sent, was sent letters from people or departments that I had never had any previous contact with and was generally treated rudely throughout the process.  Nine months into the process-when I was assured that the person I was talking to was "in control" they filed another erroneous foreclosure proceeding.  Both of these foreclosures were public documents and both posed a serious threat to a business deal I was working on.  I finally got them to reverse both of these, but not before writing to their CEO, to the Comptroller for the Office of Currency, to President Obama's hotline, to one of my U.S. Senators and to our state's attorney general office.

I am suprised that a large law firm hasn't looked into a class action filing.  To me, a wrongful foreclosure proceeding is not any different from a fraudulent attempt to steal someone's assets.  It should be punishable by law.  Citi Mortgage is a horribly incompetent, miserably managed company that mauls its customers with iron hands.
