Purchase Coby Tablet from HHGregg in December 2012 for my daughter for christmas, quit charging in may, 2013 and called Coby and they emailed me the information to send the coby back with $15.00 money order and they would either repair or replace with like or similiar Tablet. Well, now that we are calling to find out whats going on the phone numbers we have either not working or leave a message and the mail box is full. Never no answer. Called HHGreeg back and they say they have the same problem. They too can not get Coby to answer them. They have tried to help but as of today 8/l7/2013 we haven't heard a thing. Its sad that the companies selling the products can't even get a hold of the company they are selling for. After reading several reviews it seems this is a common pratice for Coby.. I will check to see if they cashed the Cashier's Check.. Probably so.. that should be consider fraud and then still have my tablet that I paid for... Man this keeps getting better.. Can some one please Help..!!!!!

I have already sent the tablet back to  Coby Returns 989 E. 233rd Street Carson, Ca 907485 with a $15.00 money order  from the postal service along with what was wrong with the tablet along with sales receipt. It had tracking number with has been checked to see if tablet did arrive at Coby USA.. it did.. What more do you want me to do?????

Same Scam, Different Consumer

This is an actual email received from Coby tech support when my daughters Kyros tablet failed and I followed all steps and verified with UPS tracking that Coby received my deffective merchandise and supplied a Ref#   Now they have gone off the grid.  No email reply backs, phone calls go no where but "Mbx's are Full" , not even their NY office is taking calls. Unit failed after 3 months of use, stay away from their products.


We have received your inquiry. It appears that your unit is defective. Return the unit to the retailer for an exchange. If the retailer will not exchange your unit, then send the product to us as stated in the warranty. 
1) Return the product to the below address:

COBY Electronics 
Attn: Warranty Returns
150 Knowlton Way 
Savannah, GA 31407

2) Include a copy of the receipt. 
     Our tablets carry a 1 year warranty. Any tablet without a receipt is considered out of warranty. Our product is warrant ONLY in the North America region as indicated on the warranty card.

3) Provide a $15.00  Money Order for the return shipping of the replacement unit. 

4) Provide a detailed note stating what is wrong with the unit.

5) Include in the note your full name, address, telephone number and email.
