I have been contacted by mail from a company called Collect Pros regarding a debt they say I owe for $365.75. The magazine is Entertainment Weekly. I have never ordered this magazine, nor did it ever deliver here erroneously. I will not be paying this debt.
The instructions say to call over the phone, online or by payment coupon to respond. I have called the number provided and you cannot speak to a person, it directs you to pay by website ot mail. I then went to the website for further contact and entered by reference number. The written response was that they have on voice mail a recording of my ordering this magazine and after their research have found it to be valid! Again asking me to pay the debt by website or mail. The date the magazine was ordered was also provided 10/14. This is not going to happen! I never called about ordering this magazine or any other ever.
Feeling that I was at a last end I decided to Google the company and found numerous fraud charges against them for the very same reason. I came across this site as well as many from the BBB inquiring about this company and fraudulent charges.
I would like this to be expunged from my credit report if it appears there and to have no further contact from them.
