Was called by Zach Smith who claimed to be from a legal firm, Cory G Hicks and Associates. He tried to "politely" tell me that I was liable for shipping charges for product I had received from another company. He said that "I'm sure we can work something out" and then threatened me with thousands of dollars in legal fees if I did not pay for a couple hundred dollars in shipping that I had received (shipping was included in the product invoice from the supplier). I had NEVER received any correspondance from the shipping company. He did not share the name of the shipping company. He said he would sue me through a legal firm in my state but he did not give an accurate name of that company. I don't know how these people can sleep at night!

Shipping Charges

So you were so concerned about the situation that you didn't even ask for the name of the shipping company? How could you have had a reasonable conversation about the matter without asking which shipment it was? So you are going to file complaints and say that you don't owe the money but yet admit that you have no idea what the shipment even was? How can you make the assessment that you do not owe devoid of the facts? This again is clear proof that you are simply not paying anyone and lashing out at those that would hold you accountable nothing more. Any reasonable person can see right through your tactic.
That being said, to address your question more than likely you used a broker to arrange the shipping for you. You might have paid the broker however the broker did not pay the actual trucking company. In that event your "agent" the broker kept your money and you still owe the trucking company that brought you the product. In that situation you would have to pay for the shipping again and go after your broker "agent" for a refund. I know that is now how you want it to be but it is. Please provide me your information and I will get you the documents so you can get this paid right away.
Thank you,
Cory Hicks

I stand by everything that I said in my original report on your company. Your response is nothing but the same blathering that you put in the other responses to other complaints on this site. The only mention that you make of my situation is regarding the name of the shipping company. I did not say in my original complaint that you refused to give it, only that you did not give it. Please respond to the primary accusation about threatening thousands in legal fees for receiving a shipment in which shipping was pre-paid with the vendor.

False report

This complaint is erroneous and unethical. It is truly easy to sit behind a computer and say whatever you want to make up to justify your behavior. Never in our history have we not been fair and professional with anyone. However, we are a recovery agency and as such to say we make friends night and day would not be true. Our society has become continuous victims even when we owe good people money and refuse to pay it such as in this case. The report is bogus and this is evidenced by the fact that the author claims we refused to give him the name of the shipping company? How could that be if we are collecting on their behalf how could we not provide the name. That is a clear indication that this report is falsified bashing in an attempt to get even and nothing more.
Thank you for listening to both sides.
