On July 24, 2013 at approximately 11:45 AM Eastern time, I was minding my own business driving down I-79 south near Pittsburgh on my way to Maryland. The speed limit where I was, near mile marker 62, is posted 55 MPH, and I was observing the speed limit. Mind you, I was in the far right lane, and there was plenty of room for the ECM truck who was practically riding my bumper to pass. He laid on his air horn for the better part of a mile. He finally went around, flipped me off, threw a fast food cup out his window in front of me, and PURPOSELY swung his trailer out toward my bumper to try to intimidate me. He then cut back into the right lane way too shortly after passing me, tapped his brakes, and had his upraised middle finger out the window for about 10 more seconds.
I called his carrier to demand an apology. The woman in human resources told me that I shouldn't have been driving so slow on the Interstate, and he wouldn't have done that. She refused to apologize, and kept telling me he was justified because it was my fault for holding him up. She then told me never to call again, and hung up on me.
Folks, this is how seriously ECM Transport takes safe driving. If you are a shipper or consignee of freight, please boycott this horrible company.

ECM Transport VALUES SAFETY.
If someone calls in to report one of our drivers' actions, all of our departments are informed to send the calls directly to Safety. Once Safety receives the call and/or voicemail they apologize for the driver's behavior and they will request a truck and/or trailer number to identify the driver. If a voicemail was left and the caller gave a return number, Safety will call back for any additional information.
Unfortunately, if someone calls in and is unable to report a trailer/tractor number, Safety may not be able to find the driver responsible right away. We need the information as soon as the call is made. DO NOT WAIT to report any valuable information, we need to speak with the driver immediately after the incident occured.
After Safety has identifed the driver, they will contact the individual once they are in a safe location and have them report to the nearest terminal as soon as possibe to meet and discuss with a manager and Safety to prevent this driver from repeating the reported actions.
