At Equip Enterprises I was an Independent Contractor (IC). As an IC we were compensated by commission.

Commissions were sometimes delayed and you would have to chase the owner down for your money.

Also owner would asses a fee thereby reducing your commission.

The fees were never discussed at time of contracted services, they were a surprise. All commissions paid did not equal the percentage of what you were to be paid.

Equip Enterprises does not provide an audit breakdown/washout sheet of the sale when you are paid a commission.

There is no accountability by the owner. The owner of Equip Enterprises LLC. becomes offended and rude when you would like to discuss the compensation for a sale. The owner also will terminate your services at that time leaving you with an unpaid balance due to you.

The Better Business Bureau has complaints it is investigating regarding this company.

6 figure income?? so for i'm going broke doing what the format has told me to do!! i contact all kinds of farms, construction out fits hwy deptments, instead of getting listing i have gotten a few empty gas tank!!

I have been an OSR for equip for over 2 months now. I can only wish that i had started with them long ago. The negative report is very far from the truth. I have already made my first sale, and recieved my exact commission check along with biz card reimbursment. I recieved this check within 5 days of sale, of which included a wk end. Management is top notch, they provide the best training for my position. As for the owner, I have spoke with him several times, of all my employers i have never seen one as professional as Mr. Jones. He goes out of his way to assist his employee's. The disgruntled former employee evidently didnt follow the training guidelines. My guess would be he was expexting something for nothing,and was unwilling to put forth the effort. This job is not for the lazy. I look foward to a 6 figure income!!!!

I have been employed at Equip for over 1 year.  The owner of the company is quick with checks to all the employees.  They go out of their way to make the customer happy and their employees.  Because this is a realtively hard job, I believe this was a disgruntled employee who probably didn't find it so easy and then quit. Who knows if this is even a legitamate claim?  Equip is a fast growing company going through a lot of changes that go along with that kind of positive growth.  Most guys that have been with the company over a year love their job.  If you read this report and are worried, don't be.  I wound't put to much into this guys claim.

Equip Enterprises = "Absolute Wonderful Company To Work For"

I have worked for Mike Jones and eQuip Enterprises for a year and found this post to be completely contrary to my experiences while employed with eQuip.

In fact the only time my payroll check was different than what I expected was when I opened the envelope and to my suprise, found a larger check than I had expected to receive. Upon speaking to Mike about this discrepancy he simply said that it was not a mistake, but merely a bonus for the hard work I had put in. It made me extremely appreciative of his generosity and told me a lot about the way he values his employees and the type of man Mike is. This was not a one time event either, I can clearly remember this happening on atleast three occasions.

As a independent field rep with eQuip Enterprises we are responsible to manage our time wisely and complete our daily tasks without face to face supervision. eQuip Enterprises gives the field reps all the neccessary training and support services to help each individual cultivate and maintain his or her territory. They alone through good work ethic and professionalism are ultimately responsible for their own success. 

Upon the sale of the equipment there is an absolutely no way a field rep would not understand what amount he will be receiving on the sale, we have a very SIMPLE and clear protocol on how we are to be paid. This is a very basic commission structure that is almost elementary to understand. It is hard for me to believe that a rep would ever be confused or have a misunderstanding about the amount he or she were to receive.

Sales can be a very rewarding career but it is not for everyone. It has been very rewarding to me over the years but I have often seen a co-worker fail and instead of trying harder or asking for help, many of them will become bitter for their failures and blame others for their lack of success.

I have read this post a few times and usually I just kind of laugh it off, but after working for Mike Jones for the past year I feel he deserves much better than to be slandered by an anoynomus person behind a computer screen. Mike is by far the best employer I have ever worked for and I feel I owe it to him to take the time to write this post and let you know how great he is to work for. He is a tremendous leader an I feel so very fortunate to be associated with both he and his company eQuip Enterprises.

My experience at eQuip Enterprises

Im am an Independent Contractor and have been with eQuip Enterprises for one year.  eQuip is a growing Company with great talent.  During my tenure, I have not heard of anyone being disgruntled over commissions payed out.  I personally have not had an issue with commissions and believe the commission structure to be more than fair and always paid out on a timely basis.  With respect to Mike Jones the Owner of eQuip Enterprises, I find Mike to be one of the most thoughtful and respectful employers I have ever had the pleasure to work for.  Mike will always find time-no matter what hour of the day, or day of the week, to help the employees of his company.  Mike is very approachable and professional in the dealings with his employees at all times and I know that as a fact.  I hope to be apart of eQuip Enterprises for years to come.  This is a great working environment which promotes success, due to the ongoing leadership in the company.

Received All My Commissions

I'd seen this report several months ago and felt it was only fair to provide a comment from the perspective of someone that has been with eQuip for over a year and a half vs 2 or 3 months.

I the past 18+ months that I have been contracted with eQuip, I have always received my commission. I have never had to 'chase' anyone down for my commission and the owner, Mike Jones, has not only treated me fairly but have on several occassions found that he has went beyond what I would expect in ensuring I was compensated fairly. Case in point, I needed to travel several hours away to conduct a sale on a machine and was paid not only the commission I had earned, but an additional amount to assist with the extra cost of my time and travel. I did not request extra compensation, it was given to me because the owner earnestly cares about the people that represent eQuip.

As for the claim of BBB complaints, that is easy for anyone to verify as Not True. Simply pull up the BBB for yourself and verify the validity or lack of for that assertion.

All in all, I enjoy very much my position at eQuip, the personnel I work with and the owner in particular. Sorry to hear the individual that made this post had an experience that left him irritated or upset enough to make two posts from two separate cities, but it sounds like it may have come down to a personality conflict.
