Game Stop Bought a refurbished X-Box - it was junk and not refurbished Terre Haute, Indiana
*Consumer Comment: What did Game Stop say?
I bought a refurbished X-Box Console from Game Stop in store. Brought it home and found it was covered in crayon writing, dented and Red Rings of Death flashing. This clearly shows the consoles are not refurbished. I went to GameStop.com and read other customer reports complaining of the same thing, that Game Stop is selling junk units as refurbished. How do they keep getting away with defrauding the public. Anyone else would this practice would have went to jail.

What did Game Stop say?

Since your post doesn't say anything about contacting Game Stop, I'm assuming you didn't. It would have been nice if you had given them a chance to rectify the problem before filing a RoR. Granted, the X-Box should have been tested and ready to go before being sent to the store to be sold, but we don't live in a perfect world. Your report would have had a bit more credibility if you had given them a chance to straighten things out first. And before you say it, no I don't work for Game Stop.
