Postcard design Round One - It was never seen by us. Gareth Debenham claimed that he began work before we gave him the "go ahead" and the design was not in line with what we wanted.
Round One (as corrected for the appropriate design) - We sent Gareth Debenham our main illustration for the postcard and a $1,500 payment to create supporting illustrations and for his graphic design/typography services. What we received for that was a jpeg screenshot of his Round One work (we never received any usable files that could be sent to our print shop for production). His work included pasting the illustration we provided him into postcard as well as pasting a border around the entire piece.
We provided Gareth Debenham with USPS templates detailing the size of the postcard and the areas for the placement of the stamp and address, which had to be left as "open spaces". Gareth Debenham disregarded these templates and placed the "design" directly over these areas, which would have prevented us from applying postage and addresses to the postcards. The designs he provided were nowhere close to the scope of the project. He did not follow instructions when told to maintain margins within the USPS templates, nor did he follow the design concepts we sent him examples of.
At this point we terminated the Mr. Gareth Debenham's services at Go Big Branding and requested a detailed break-down of the expenses incurred to date. In an unbelievable response, Gareth Debenham claimed that he spent 8 hours on this project!
Due to the fact that we put $1,500 out and never received anything from Go Big Branding, not a single illustrator or photoshop file that we could even possibly use somewhere else , we requested a full refund. To that request, we received no response. We then offered to meet in the middle and let him keep $750 as a consultation fee. And still, no response.
If anyone deserves to be listed in a Ripoff Report, it is surely Gareth Debenham from Go Big Branding. He's an individual who will happily take your money and provide you with nothing.

Today, February 06, 2013 I was contacted by Gareth Debenham from GoBig Branding and after our conversation I would like to retract my comment posted herein regarding GoBig Branding and Gareth Debenham.
GoBig rendered work based on my initial direction. When I reviewed thefirst round of creative, it became clear to me that somehow there was a miscommunication in design objective. I made a decision to terminate the contract before GoBig Branding was given a chance to provide a suitable creative solution.
Gareth Debenham at GoBig Branding has refunded my company the full amount of $1,500. Gareth Debenham is professional, my initial posted remarks were submitted hastily. I am fully satisfied with this resolution.
