hotelsclick Big runaround trying to get a refund Don't know New Jersey?

They have given me a runaround about my hotel refund.

First, do not book a hotel on TripAdvisor(TA)becaue they use Hotelsclick (HC). My husband and I booked a hotel from Aug. 7-11 to celebrate our anniversary, then had a change of plans.

I called the hotel on Aug. 4 and the room was cancelled. We paid $682 for 4 nights. I called TA to get a refund, only to be told I had to contact HC, their business partner. Calling HC gets you their voice mail and they never call back. Sometimes they reply to e-mails.

HC said I had to pay for the first night because they have a 96 hour cancellation policy, they said clearly displayed, but is actually in tiny print in your e-mail confirmation. The hotel has a 24 hour cancellation policy. Then HC said they have to call the hotel to confirm I was a no show. I am still waiting.  

I believe I am entitled to a full refund for 4 nights.
