JK Harris Tax Company Paid almost $4,000 and got nothing accomplished by them, no return calls, no return e-mails , Internet

We hired JK Harris to help us with back taxes owed. They took almost $4,000.00 from us up front and according to their contract this was to be bank drafted in installments, which again was not done that way.

They were given all of our information they needed to file our back taxes with IRS. I made numerable calls, sent numberable e-mails trying to see where they had gotten on this, which this has been going on over a year. 

Finally we got our taxes done elswhere and sent a letter to JK Harris requesting our money back. They offered us a settlement, not the full amount paid to them. We in turn sent them a letter accepting their settlement in May of this year but requested they add 180.00 from overdraft fees where they took not just one months payment but several months payment out at one time which threw us into overdraft.

As of this date we have not heard back from them nor have we received any money at all from them. I have e-mails that I sent during this period of time to them and letters I sent to them. 

Today, my husband called their office again to see what the status of our refund was and of course got the run around once again so still waiting.

We are planning to call our local Eyewitness 9 channel and they were also informed today that this was going to be done. Once I read about the lawsuits against them and about their misrepretation I then asked my husband to call them back requesting the full amount we had paid them. 

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Professional Tax preparers can handle back taxes also for a lot less, which of course now we know. 

No help whatsoever from JK Harris.
