This is, without a doubt, the worst experience I've had with any company that I have ever dealt with in my 44 years of life. If I could provide a rating less than one star, I would.

I found this shop based on a Google search and called them at 4pm on a Monday afternoon. James, the guy who took my call, was friendly enough and said I could bring the truck in but that they wouldn't be able to look at it until the next day. I was in no hurry so I said no problem. My request was, simply enough, to replace the fluids in the transmission and rear differentials for my Ford F-350, 7.3L.

I delivered the truck at 5pm that afternoon and even though the shop seemed low-rent (a sign on the building says "Armed Guard on Duty After Hours") I felt it would be ok. At noon the next day, I called the shop to get an idea of how long it was going to take. The woman who answered told me that James was the one who was working on my truck and that she would have him call me back. Three hours passed and I hadn't heard from anyone so I called again and asked for James specifically. Nothing could have prepared me for what happened next.

James came on the line and the first thing he said was, "Are you the one who keeps calling?" I told him that I called several hours earlier and was told that he would call me back. In a clearly irritated tone, he said, "You don't need to keep calling here. You were told that I would call you back when I'm done working on your vehicle." I immediately thought he had me confused with someone else so I said, "I'm sorry, I only called once." "What kind of vehicle do you have?" he asked, still obviously very irritated. I told him that it was a Ford F-350. "You know how many f**king F-350's I have in here? What color is it?" I couldn't believe he just used the "F" word out of the blue so I said, "Excuse me?!" "Hold on!" he barked, and then he put me on hold. A moment later he came back and said, "Yeah, you're the one who keeps calling here--YOU DON'T NEED TO TALK TO ME UNTIL I CALL YOU AND TELL YOU YOUR F**KING TRUCK IS READY, YOU GOT THAT?" I couldn't believe this guy was talking to me like this. "Hold on!" I protested. "NO, YOU HOLD ON" he said. "YOU F**KING PEOPLE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT'S LIKE RUNNING A SHOP LIKE THIS. DON'T CALL HERE AGAIN. I WILL CALL YOU WHEN YOUR F**KING TRUCK IS DONE," and he hung up.

I immediately jumped into my wife's car and took her with me (to prevent me from murdering the fool) and we were standing in their shop in less than a half hour. The frumpy woman who acts as office manager/secretary said she heard James' conversation with me earlier yet she squarely placed blame on me for "calling repeatedly". She said they are a really busy shop and every time they get a call, the interruption slows them down. By this time I was ready to put my boot on someone's neck. Unfortunately, James, who knew I was there and mad as hell, hid like a cockroach in the shadows. In the 45 minutes we were there, he never showed his face once. I was so torqued off, I had to take a walk to cool off.

When they finally brought my truck out, my wife paid the (excessive) bill of $502 for replacing the fluids in the tranny and rear differentials. I can't speak for the quality of work, but it doesn't matter; nobody should be treated with such contempt, much less a paying customer. I don't care if James was having his period or if it was just a bad day, there is no excuse for that kind of behavior. I kept saying to myself later, "Man, this guy is lucky I handled the situation like a grown-up; I know a lot of guys who would have gone in there and split that guy's wig wide open for that kind of disrespect.

I understand James is the owner of this shop and that they've been in business for quite some time as it's been passed down in the family. As hard as it is for me to believe these people have any favorable ratings, if I can prevent one person from patronizing this pathetic excuse for a business, then I've done my civic duty.
