Lees Mongolian grill WORST experience EVER! Almost came to blown with the owners! Springfield OR

 I have been going to Lee's Mongolian grill since they first opened. I was excited to have a Mongolian grill in Springfield finally, but still wished that Jung's would open a location here. The food was ok, the sauces so-so and they didn't drench the food with water or oil so we went there several times a week. The one annoyance was the owners watching like a hawk as you filled your bowl. The first thing they did that started to turn us away was put up a sign limiting how many scoops of sauce you could use.. Next, they covered the word buffet on their menu and limited you to two bowls. Over time it felt very unwelcoming and we saw several bad reviews on Yelp that were similar to our experiences so we started making the long drive to Jung's. A new Mongolian restaurant opened closer to us, but when we went in we noticed it was the same owners as Lee's, so we only went the one time. Recently my daughter was in town and wanted to get Mongolian so we decided to get some to go at Lee's hoping it was new owners. It was, but OMG, even free meals for life couldn't get me back in those doors!!!!

Weekends and evening cost more because they have shrimp, which is what I go for. When I went to fill my bowl there were only a few shrimp in the container. I asked the owner to please bring more out. She brought out the shrimp mixed with imitation crab, which they already had a container of. I started picking the shrimp out and she came over to tell me that was for everyone and there was no more shrimp. Like I care, I mean I'm paying for the shrimp. After getting the shrimp I wanted I started filling up with the vegi's as she followed me all around, hovering like a hawk. This upset my daughter who went over and started picking out more shrimp to put in my bowl. (She moved here to help me recover due to radiation disease from cancer treatment a year ago) when we got to the grill the other owner came over and was trying to explain his wife was upset because we were hurting there business or something like that. I told him I didn't care because we were never coming back.

Then their son (the only one that spoke English) came out saying we don't know how business works, or something. I was waving my hands saying stop, it doesn't matter because we'll never be back, he doesn't need to say anything. He started "shushing" us, which upset my son in law, who then got in the middle of things. As I get my son in law to leave, their son puts his hand on my daughter trying to get her to listen which then made matters worse. If my son in law had seen it there would have been a fight. I asked my husband then if he'd already paid because I was just ready to leave, but he had. I thought I'd be more of a hassle trying to get our money back, so we stayed, but the entire time we were waiting for our food to finish cooking we had the son invading personal space going on and on about trying to run a business, while we were trying to get him to stop talking because we didn't care. So unless you eat like a bird, don't go there.
