After getting many phone calls and an official letter from the courts stating I was being sued, for a credit card I didn't realize I ever had, from maybe 6-10 years ago, I called Mary Jane Elliots office to set up a payment plan.  I figured the debt was only 1,000.00 or so and fighting to prove it wasn't mine might have costed me more.  I arranged payments of 75.00 a month with an initial 220.00 due at the start-up of the payment plan.  Each month on the 22nd the 75.00 was to come out of my account.  The first month came and no payment was taken.  Then with my next paycheck there was an over 200.00 garnishment taken from Mary Jane Elliot.

Shortly after I received a letter from my human resources department and in it was a copy of the judgement for wages to be garnished.  Outlined the court fees, the initial 220.00 I paid was eaten up in those fees and was added on to my bill.  So after I had already paid her the 220.00 on an alleged 1000.00 debt I am right back to where I was before the payment arrangements, actually slightly higher now.  The garnishments have been taking place over the last 2 months and I am now getting ready to lose my car.  I have a baby and am a student so I don't have a lot of extra money rolling around at the moment. 

It's so nice that this happened right at Christmas time.  Thanks Mary Jane Elliot for ruining my holidays this year, you are a crappy human being.
