I was going to file a report on this person to begin with and found this!

I had this happen the other day to me exactly how you described! Went by the name Rob!  Contacted Milford PD and they confirmed they know him well and this sounds like him. He has been in jail before!

Contacting Paul Lane at Milford PD Tomorow to see what we can do to stop this guy!!!!

here is my story i posted on Craigslist Cincinnati looking for information on this person:

Wanted: Information on a " Rob the mechanic" Rob (Beware)

I am a female.

In this case... his name says it all! I was Robbed!!!!!!

This person came to my apartment to work on my car and "replace" a power steering unit.

He got here and said is $80 ok? I said I can do $80. he left awhile came back and said he needed another $35.00 for another tool! What???

I gave him that also. stupid me! After he said he fixed it, he said "wait a half hour before starting it"!. hhhmmm Wonder why?

He didn't check the repair after done or even put fluid in the car!!!!!

drove it down to auto zone to get power steering fluid. Battery light was on all the way to Auto Zone.

Opened up the hood to find out the belt fell off and the power steering unit was hanging on by one bolt!

at that point we are out the $$ and stranded!!!!

he was supposed to come fix it tonight at 6. no reply's and no show!!! Figures!

I would also like to add... his attempt of putting a new power steering unit on (we supplied) Came with a cost also. The old power steering unit we had to return for the core charge ... he claimed it was cracked! It was inspected and found not to have anything wrong with it!

We have his name Rob and his number. (((redacted)))

We plan on taking legal action when we find him and will go to the extreme to make sure he doesn't do this again! While waiting for information we plan to use the phone number (((redacted))) and his name to of course leave negative reviews on the net!

If you know this person, please send the info. All other Ladies... BEWARE of this CON!

If you are even thinking of taking your car to this guy don't! He will create a lie of why the work hasn't been done and take your checkbook and sign your name! Michael, I gave you the benefit of the doubt, but to steal from me is insane. Stay away from this clown.
