I have to warn people looking at buying these wheels for their 535i. After watching this video, I ordered a set through Discount Tire with some Nitto NT555 tires. After about two months of normal driving, my low tire warning goes off, so I run to D.T. and have them check them out. My rear 10.5" wheel has what looks like a stress crack on the inside wall! I thought maybe I had hit something and just not noticed, so I drop the $350 and order a new wheel. Six weeks later CRACKED AGAIN?! I'm thinking something is wrong with the manufacturing, so I contact MRR Wheels. "We're sorry, you are S.O.L. I'm no longer worried about a replacement, and I would highly consider NOT putting these wheels on your car! I've owned KMC, BBS, and even some no name brand wheels and have never seen anything like these.

You are correct. They sell cheap (seconds) wheels.

As you can see by my previous report I ran into the same exact issue. The wheels they sell are dangerous, and although this happened a couple of years ago I still would file a complaint with the Department of Transportation. They are putting peoples lives at risk and they don't care if someone dies or not.

MRR Wheels etc.. and all of their wheels they have renamed to protect themselves are dangerous.

Jose, obviously you didn't completely understand my complaint. First, the term "stress crack", or "stress fracture" is a common term, and pretty self explanatory. Although the term shouldn't need defining, a stress fracture in this context would mean a crack that occurred because the design and material of the wheel itself was unable to handle the stress of the pressure and fatigue, brought on by the weight of the vehicle. The picture I attached is of the first wheel that I admit in my review was possibly driver error, although, I don't believe that a product advertised on a 4,000+ lb car should crack almost in half because of what is essentially curb rash. The fact is that the second wheel purchased cracked with NO visible signs of curb rash, or anything close to it. I later sold this vehicle to a friend, and after similar issues, the wheels were replaced and scrapped. In my opinion, these wheels are simply made of cheaper, less resilient materials than other products on the market. I now own a heavier vehicle with substantially more power. The new car has a different brand of aftermarket wheels, non-forged, with similar tires, and have never had an issue. You are entitled to your opinion, but with years of custom car/wheel ownership, these wheels are without question, the worst, most problematic I've ever had. I'm in absolutely no way concerned about MRR Wheels refusing to correct this issue. I will, however, share my experience with fellow car enthusiasts, and if my experience was abnormal, their reputation will speak for itself. Thanks

Please re check your wheel again

Hello my name is Jose and i work for your tire source in Los Angeles CA, i have personally dealt with aftermarket wheels for more then 20 years, ive seen everything, ive also seen companies come and go and somtimes good companies, i fealt this report was very wrong, MRR Wheels is known for having a great reputation but lets forget about the company for now, you stated that you "think" you hit something and you are asuming is a stress crack. Ive never ever heard of that term before, but please re check the wheel picture carefully, right where their is a crack their is also aluminum scuff and a slight slight bent, this is a obvious indicator that the crack was caused by impact or driver neglect. MRR Wheels states and has proven to offer a full life time structure warranty as long as its a manufacture defect not a consumer accidental impact. I think what happen here is that you may have contacted MRR and they decline your warranty do to impact which is true so you got upset and now are trying to screw their reputation over something you caused. that sucks. but to each their own.
