My son, who is disabled, is being harrassed by the State of Ohio Department of Taxation for a bill he paid last year. I know because I SENT THEM THE CHECK.
They are claiming that he never filed a return for 2012.
I have all the documents to prove that he filed a return and that the Ohio Department of Taxation cashed the check.
I believe that these dirtbags in Ohio are deliberately retaliating against a disabled individual because my son put some true but unflatering statments online about their "Ohio Department of Family Services".
My son has also had some legal problems with a business in Ohio that I believe has a 'friend' within the Ohio Department of Taxation and that they are using this department to harass him.
We have not lived in this garbage dump of a state for almost a year and a half.
I am filing complaints with the Justiice Department, The ACLU, and also the Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Ohio Governors Office on my son's behalf.
I am also going to put this situation onto every area of the internet.
"Exposure to sunlight is the best disinfectant".

I had the same problem a few years ago. Turns out that the check I sent in was credited to MY social security number and not my daughter's. You might want to send them a copy of the return and copies of both the front and back of the check. That way they can verify that the payment was credited correctly.
Sounds like a bureaucratic mistake. I seriously doubt anyone with a vendetta against your son could make this happen.
