Beware of sellers at a booth on Quinta Avenida, Playa del Carmen, Mexico, inviting you to attend a "wonderful" opportunity to make a lot of money by selling them your current vacation club membership. The name of this particular outfit is Premier Collections, their address is Playa Paseo, Playa Car fase 2.Playa del Carmen Quintane Roo 77710. Mexico. They will explain that the need your current vacation club membership, even if you are still making payments on it.They say they will convert your membership in your current Vacation Club into hotel nights in Playa del Carmen in order to house big spenders who they expect to sell to high end golf condos and gold memberships in Playacar. They will also tell you that they need your membership because they cannot host potential buyers at their property. My wife and I gave them $1,200 up front and we were promised a vacation club membership with huge discounts all over the world and a 2-week free flight and stay at a luxury property plus $19, 000 for our membership, which we were still paying on. They showed us their impressive catalogue and we were told that the money we would paid was far in excess of what it was worth because they needed it so badly. They told us that once their golf resort was built, they would no longer be buying people's memberships, as they woudn't need the hotel rooms any longer. They were desperate to gain our membership to use it for hotel rooms for the big spenders. We also had to pay a "closing cost" fee of $999 to a company here in the States called Hamptons Trust. The man's name was Scott Brown. We were given legal papers to sign and assured that the closing would be soon. It never happened and after we paid the closing cost, the representative from Hamptons Trust, Scott Brown, never ansered our calls again. Before we paid the closing cost, he answered our calls on the 2nd ring! They have a generic website(possibly fake) and we even left a message there, to no avail.

You can't believe how slick these guys were. They took us for breakfast, gave us a tour of their expanding golf property and seemed extremely professional. Stay away from this company. We are really embarrassed!

AUTHOR: dmc - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 26, 2016

I'm going to file my own report as i gather up more information but the Lyn Howarth was involved and a similairly named trust company in the US along with Premier Collections.  We were duped in Dec 2015 and still hoping to resolve but i just saw this report and now realize this won't end well for us either.
