Premiere Event Weddings was the most unfortunate choice that I made for my daughters wedding.  While their quote to plan and manage all the details of the wedding came in lower than the rest of the companies I interviewed, their poor communication, high upfgront deposit, and evident planning issues made the wedding one big stressful day for me as the bride's father.

We were told throughout the planning process by our wedding planner Stacey that everything was under control and that everything we selected was available for our chosen wedding date.  It turns out that this wasn't true.

Three weeks before the date as we were sending out invitations, we found out that the venue had some scheduling conflicts and wouldn't be able to accommodate us.  We had to visit three other venues with Stacy before we were able to select one for the wedding.  Since invitations nwere already printed, we had to send out a little card with the new address in them.  Not exactly ideal.

Then there was some trouble with the flower arrangements for the bridesmaids.  My daughter ordered tulips but Premiere Evetn Weddings ordered Irises instead.

Could the wedding planner control any of this?  Maybe and maybe not.  But I would sure like to think that the people in the business could ensure a more smooth process.

My biggest hangup is this.  They required a 75% deposit on their services, which should have been my first clue.  Because it was such a large amount of the overall total, I didn't feel very good about things when the probelms began.  It made me uneasy to pay trhe remainder knowing that they had essentially collected the majorituy of their fee.

While the day accomplished what it needed to -- my daughter getting married to her husband of choice -- the stress of the day was just not worth the upfront deposit or the lower price and hiccups along the way.
