My Husband and I had the opportunity to purchase a puppy from this so called "breeder."

We had several emails going back and forth, described type of puppy we were hoping to buy and the options she had available at the time.  It all sounded terrific.  Great personality of the breeder, she was personable, available and friendly.

She made options available from "SEVERAL" litters she had at the time or that were upcoming.  That might have been my first clue.  We made an appointment and drove out to the location in Winlodk of the so called kennel so that we might view the parents on site, look at puppies and see if there was a puppy available that would fit into our family.

When we arrived we were met by the breeder.  She was friendly at first, overwhelming us with "information" on pedigree's, breeding lines, history of red fox labs.  Don't be mislead.  A red fox lab is a Yellow Lab.  It is a lab that has been bred on purpose to get a fox red color.  It is not a special Lab.  We were aware of this as we had done our due diligence and researched them on line before looking to purchase.  I want to state that in the "red fox lab " click, this breeder did recieve high kudos from her fellow breeders, hence our trip out to see the facility.

The facility was for a lack of better words, a hovel.  It was filthy.  There were fece's in the pens, not a poo.... I am aware that puppie poop or a dog may have a poop.... I am talking POOP.  Fece's on the bedding, feces in the shavings, the puppies were dirty and I was not interested in picking them up.  The adults were thin, under fed or over bred. The breeder tried to talk around the issues and get us to put a deposit down on a puppie, but the more we looked around the place we were aware we were in the midst of a full on puppy mill.  There were approximately visible to our count, 14 adult dogs and at least 3 litters of puppies,  I want to say close to 20 puppies.  

We discussed alone that we were not going to support this type of breeder and would look for a puppy elsewhere.  When we explained that we were going to pass, the breeder became defensive and insisetent that we pick a puppy. She seemed somewhat erratic, so we left.

We did anonyomously report it to the Lewis County Sherrif's office, though whether or not they did anything is anyones guess. I also called the Lewis County Animal shelter to report the cruelty and neglect, but they said that unless the Sherrif refused to do something they wouldnt get involved.  This is a shame. They are poor animals and being over bred, mis treated and neglected.

I have heard from several people that are local that bought puppies from this breeder that the puppies were sick.  They had parasites and coccidea.  It made them very ill and cost their new owners a lot of money to make them healthy.  Incidently you get that kind of illness from an abbundance of fecal matter and unclean dog areas.

Please save your self and others heart ache and avoid this breeder like the plague.  She has recently moved her kennel and dog business into the City of Centralia.  So buyer Beware.
