 My mother and I chose to do business with Schwan's Home Service because it was something that would be beneficial and timesaving since we don't drive or own a car. We stuck it out for about 4 years with them and some of those were good years of course there would be times when things weren't going as smoothly as they should have and that's understandable. We were always charged the current prices for items and was always given whatever discounts we were due being such good customers and we hardly had to call about a problem until....they hired a young man by the name of Mike Bracy as our route sales and delivery person. We tried to put up with this fella and even overlooked a few replacement items assuming the correct items were not loaded onto his truck. Well, we finally got fed up and so I not only called their toll free number to complain, I also sent several messages all with the same lie, "someone will contact you within 48 hours". There have been so many 48 hours that have passed until it's ridiculous. We often used Schwan's pay to get our order and have up to 2 weeks to pay. That's where the " grocery goon" was getting us. I found that I had been bbilledtwice for items that were only ordered once. I refused to pay for those things twice and their banking department kept right on submitting it to our bank and intentionally racked us up a lot of returned items fees. They couldn't get the money out of our account so they've had the nerves to turn me in for writing a bad check. For real Schwan's.... it appears as though EVERY single person from top to bottom is dishonestly unsavory. That specific order was for $30, small amount but STILL too much to throw away on a stranger's habits. I am not now nor have I ever eluded paying these people. If that were the case why is it that the final order we placed before becoming fully aware of what was going on in the amount of $127 get paid and not the $30?! We assumed that we had at least a halfway decent driver on our route but we were wrong. Especially after he told me that my schwanspay card was expired and I found out differently, he told me so himself. We also found out that this guy has bad habits, I found that he had been arrested for vandalism and assault and he admitted to us that he was a heavy drinker and marijuana user but not until he began bringing the wrong items and side selling things off of his truck for personal gain. I'd like to encourage all Schwan's Home Service clients to be extra careful and be sharp about your receipts and order history especially if you have a seemingly, shady driver. To this day not ONE single person has tried to contact me regarding this situation.
