I hope this will prevent others from being ripped off.  This company claims they are an REO preservation company that has a contract with Ocwen.  They prey on Craiglist contractors looking for persons that will do work on a contract basis. Then Secured REO sends over work orders with a description of the work needed.  I dealt with Monique Willis.  She sent over 20 orders and said she was so glad she found someone in Florida to do the work.  What she really meant was "she was glad she found another sucker to do the work, so she would get paid and screw the contractor over.

Over a period of 3 weeks, I spent almost $8,000 in materials, labor and fuel to do the work as requested on the invoices. Monique requested photos to show the work was done, which I provided.  Then when I sent in invoices to get paid, my calls were not returned and Monique was nowhere to be found. 

I happened to meet another person at a property I was given.  He was given the same invoices by another company to do the same work on the properties.  He also never got paid on even one invoice he submitted. Turns out many contractors were doing the work, and it turns out, whoever did the work first would get paid by Ocwen, all at the expense of the contractors who did the actual work.

Take a look at Secured REO website.  Notice, NO ADDRESS, PO BOX only.  Call the phone number, it is answered by an auto attendant.  I should have known better!!

Also, it turns out the parent company Acquired Asset Solutions operates from a defunct New Mexico corporation.  In other words, you have NO RECOURSE against this company.  Someone is paying them for services they sub-contract out.  Whoever is hiring Secured REO Services for their property preservation, should stop, as all that is happening is innocent people are getting ripped off!
