Suncast Corporation Sold outdoor storeage building which quickly deteroiated in 1 year and no warranty beyond sale date. Internet

We purchased a 10X12.5' outdoor building from Sears in April 2010. We had concerns about purchasing such a product due to the intense heat in Texas. We were somewhat assured by Sears store staff that the technology was sound. We place the building in service per directions around the 1st of May 2010. In August of 2011 we noted pieces of baked plastic in our yard.

Under investigatin we found that the skylight had turned to chalck and blown off by the wind exposing the contents to the elements. We called Suncast to learn that the warranty expired the day we left the store. They ask me to send photos and proof of purchase and they would consult senior management for any possible resolution. In the end they sent me new ridge tops as a resolution. Assuming the new ridge tops are made of the same materials as the old, I expect that August of 2012 I will have to call them again.
