Jeff contacted me in regard to a craigslist ad in miami asking to hire php Local php developer .

The ad was posted on : 2012-07-13, 11:51AM EDT  and specifically stated this word for word: "I am hiring local phpdeveloper. And need that person to work side by side with me in person. We can meet at a coffee shop or a beer bar. I will direct you on what needs to be done... 

yes there is pay in this gig. Cash once job is done. "

Mr. Jeff and his partner was arranged a meeting with me at a coffee shop on collins ave. of which I described the tasked that needed to be done. We spent time there and i went over things in detailed. I specifically told Mr. Coldwell that i would need his EIN or Tax ID number if  i were to pay him more than a specific amount for a specific work, which was to be $1000. And he said he was going to charge me at a rate of 20 dollars an hour. I said okay, just as long as you finish the work for me and I would pay in cash like the ad requested. 
I sat down and explained the work in detail to Mr. Jeff and his partner, both were enthusiastic about the gig offer and was ready to offer their services. I was aesthetic about it, because i was going to get my project finished finally. However that was not the case. Mr. Coldwell went home and was granted access to my server to check out my project. Which he started working on and after he worked on for a certain amount of hours, he then progress to ask me to pay before he continue. I then told him that he need to finish the work before i pay him like the ad requested. he disagreed and i told him leave it then. I will find someone else to perform the work for me because I wasn't about to pay someone if they didn't finish the work for me, as I told him at the coffee shop that i had many other people worked on project that couldn't perform what i asked them to do for me.

So after i replied to his email, i did what every employer would do which was to deactivate the access  that was granted to his or her employee. I reuploaded the backup so that my other developer would have their file to work on. Which of course contain part of Mr. Coldwell codes on there. I told Mr. Coldwell that I would erase his code and not use it. He sent me a ceased and deceased email and threaten to take me to court. I promised him that i wasn't going to use it and i didn't and still don't use his code. Everything is written a new by me and my new developer.

He couldn't performed the tasked that i asked him to perform in a timely manner and asked me to pay him ahead of time. I wasn't about to do it.. Now I have to bare a negative posting by him on ripoffreport.com and made several clients of mine worry about my work. 

Beaware of this man. He is a penny pincher and can't read instructions, and won't finish your work for you.

Him and his partner live together in miami florida now. And should not be trusted.
