System Pavers, Inc. Earn 80k-200k annually, commision only Santa Ana California

I worked as a "design consultant". Let it be known that I choose to leave and was asked not to several times after I had a "great month" according to management. I will be mirroring the privious review to let everyone know not to fall for their sales process.

They do say you can make 10% commission, what they don't explain is that you will be told by your Manager to sell the product for 1% or no commission. They constantly train you on their sales system, which you basically give the customers a very big retail # (which basically is your 10%) and around 20% higher than the competition. Then they expect you to lower you price to be competitive at the same time your giving away your commission, of course as a sales rep is unthinkable. I actually would not budge and I still made sales. When I refused to go below my 10% I wasn't doing my job and was expected to just give it away with no commission. I'm in sales and working on commission, why would I give something away for no commission? 

The answer is simple, System Pavers wants to get the job in the ground. (I can understand this) the problem is, to get the jobs in the ground as fast as they can. They try to tell the reps that, "your job is to get the pavers in the ground, even if you don't make a commission". Good way burn their most valuable resourse, The Sales Reps!!! The reps work on commission, in order for the reps to make money is to get 10% on every sale. The Average rep closes 7-8 deals a month. Sounds like it will work l, right? Wrong, the average rep is selling at around 2-3% commission. I'll put it in perspective for you, the top sales rep in the office generated over $100k for the company, closed 10 deals and only took home 2k... He did get a bonus of a couple hundred dollars in a gift card and a parking spot. 

Seeing that and closing a bunch of sales after I changed my sales strategy from their "used car" style to an honest one. Showed me that I can not be honest and sell their product, I was making promisses that could not be kept after I was told they could be. Just go read the reviews on the various social media sites, they are spot on. I'll leave all of you smart business people with this rational that my manager told me. "If you sell it at your 0% commission, the company doesn't make any money" Really??? So their profit margins are less than that?? Make sense out of that last quote.. That is why I left, I was not let go, I saw how twisted rhe system is.

For anyone reading this review, please do not take the word of a disgruntled applicant or an unsuccessful sales rep.  All sales related businesses have a commission structure for their sales force.  Our successful sales teams know the value of working for a company that provides quality products, great customer service and excellent value for our customers.  Our sales team appreciate our commission structure whereby earnings are dictated only by the work that is put in.
