National Payment processing has in it's Merchant Service Provider contract in  FINE print deeply buried the following:

a three year contract which upon my six year experience with merchant service providers, does not present  lengthy contracts. Also there is a early termination fee of $350 if before a year into the contract one does not like their services. And slightly less termination fees attached to lesser time.

A representative of this company, Rick Knight of Los Angeles, California, assured me that there would be only a monthy service fee of $20. This was not the case. Again deeply buried are various charges for all sorts of things which many companies do not require payment; all amounting to about $40 a month BUT changes a if there is no activity, the charge can be much more and changes monthly on some mysterious scale.

Of note, this company charges the highest rate over Interchange Plus rates of any company out there. I've researched this extensively and my representative promised a much less basis point assessment but did not folow through and assessments on my transactions was the highest I've ever had and killed whatever small profit could have been gained.

The issue of most importance here is that the company did not have any oversight on it's representatives, assuming a customer is informed of the nature of the contract namely that it was three years and had termination fees. Which was not the case. My representative neither disclosed the contractual structure nor it's accompanying fees.  The company itself does not have within it's major areas of information any reference to contract or termination fees.

Typically a company WILL have a visible section stating termination fees and usually filled in with a ZERO.

Be aware of doing business with this company. It's large and unconcerned with the conduct of it's representatives who clearly gain profit from signing up customers but fail to professionaly disclose the nature of what is being signed up for and the agreements one is entering into without trying to weed through three pages of very very fine print legal stipulations and restrictions.

This is also a warning to double and triple check if you do business with their representative, Rick Knight as he exhibits a lack of professionalism and it more concerned with getting his commission than to your future well fair.

This Report is a Hoax

AUTHOR: Rick Knight - (USA)

This report is a hoax,

Neither myself, nor National Payment Processing has ever had a customer by this name. If it is a real, former customer, hiding their identity, I can only say that contract terms and ETF's are clearly noted on contracts, and I always inform my clients of them. I also give them a choice as to whether or not to have a contract or not, as I am able to waive the ETF at the beginning of the term, if the client chooses to have a month to month program.

Many clients many times choose the 3-year contract term, in order to keep their rate on the processing side from going up (the Interchange side [controlled by the card members] constantly goes up, and there is nothing any agent or processing company can do about it). I normally only do Interchange + pricing, as this is the most honest and usually the best deal for the customer, as long as they don't have a high number of monthly bebit transactions, as I recently found out, unfortunately.

Nearly all of my clients have about a $20.00 monthly fee, however, if a merchant were to neglect to complete their PCI  compliance questionnaire, as all merchants on the planet, regardless of what country they are in, are required to do, and are repeatedly informed of when beginning their agent relationship with me, then they would be charged a $19.95 to $30.00 PCI non-compliance fee.

The card members (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express) are visciously obsessive about PCI compliance, and impose heavy fines upon processors who's merchants are non-compliant. Therefore, National Payment Processing charges non-compliance fees to incentivise compliance, and repeatedly sends out notices to non-compliant merchants. If those notices are ignored, there is nothing they can do, except to continue charging until they become compliant, and may times, once compliant, a merchant can receive a full or partial refund of non-compliance fees.

If this was a real customer of mine, and there had been a problem, they could have called and I would have fixed their problem for them. All of my customers have my personal cell phone number, and know that I answer my phone, every time, and that they will NEVER get a voicemail, any time, day or Knight.

Tan Nigh, if you were a real customer, my appologies for whatever problem you had, I wish you would have given me the chance to fix it.

If this is a hoax, please stop. I run a clean business, and only have my integrity and my good reputation, to feed my family with. As for your comment that I only care about my commission, I've walked away from 3 deals that were better off with their current company, this month alone, even though my rates were lower.

If you were my client, then you have my cell phone number. Call me, provide proof that you were in fact my client, and that you were charged a cancellation fee, and I will refund your cancellation fee if you had one. If not, and this was a hoax, please retract it, you're hurting my family, and me, for no reason.

Thank You.

Rick Knight.
