I was having issues with my mortgage. It was an older loan and my credit wasn't great when I first got the loan. I had been making payments since 2005 with no problem. Last year my loan adjusted and it went up. I lost hours at work and just fell behind. I found UFG and called them, spoke with Joe and he told me all they do is help people like me. I went and saw him and he promised me he could work with the bank ( Union Bank) and get my loan back to the original rate. He told me he needed a check for $800 to get started and another $800 in 2 weeks before the refi happened. I borrowed the $800 and sent him a check. It took him almost 6 weeks before he finally called me, told me he needed the next $800 and it was looking good. I sent him the check and that was it. He never called me back, ignored all my calls and its been 11 weeks now. I am not sure what kind of game he is playing but he ripped me off

Horrible Story - So Cold and Cruel

AUTHOR: Bman - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, September 17, 2010

This company is indeed ruthless and cruel given your circumstances. If you check the BBB there probably is an A+ next to the name of the company? I would suggest that you read the complaints against Quicken Loans to see a full assault on anyone that tries to refinance with them using a security deposit supposed to lock in a good rate. Also look at the practices at play given any large bank on this site. My point is that the refinance industry has become a bait and switch con game that takes in those least able to afford their foul policies. Banks have used credit card debt to entrap the poor into a lifetime of debt. They have tightened the laws for bankruptcy through lobbyists and now have complete disregard for the problems they create in ANY social structure. What I would suggest is that you write up a formal complaint and then send it to this agency:
