Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Universal Property and Casualty Insurance is The worst company Never use them Fort Lauderdale Florida

My 74 year old mother has Universal Property and Casualty Insurance on her home. On 9/04/2013 her pool screen room was struck by lightning.She had damage to 2tvs,garage door opener,electrical outlets,pool motor,a/c unit and her pool motor.After the adjuster came out he made us get all estimates for each thing with lightning affidavits and all of them notorized.After she had them done which took a few weeks she submitted all of them and waited allmost 1 month for any kind of response.Everyhing was approved except her pool screen rooshe was told it was normal wear and tear due to exposure to the elements. 1st screen rooms are made of aluminum for that reason they dont just turn yellow and none of them were like that until the day we watched from inside and the lightning struck.Now my mom is 74 so we have been trying to deal with them before we contact a lawyer.The adjuster in charge of her claim is Emilia Alsina-Valdes she is one of the most rudest and arrogant people i have ever had to deal with in my life.If you call most times she dont anwser leave a message she dont call back.They have made it almost impossiable to get anywhere with this claim.Its been 3 months my mother has not gotten a penny yet she has paid for most all of the repairs out of her pocket.    If you ever shop around for house insurance skip over this company because there customer service IS CUSTOMER NO SERVICE What a disgrace that a senior sitizen has been treated this way. Just a rude company
