This company's automated ordering process via telephone is rediculous. They run you through menu after menu of offers and make it very confusing as to what they are referring to. The offer was, buy one get one free, after all of the menu scripts they asked how many I wanted I replied the two...meaning the offer of buy one get one free. After getting off of the phone I called back to make sure that I didnt' order wrong. I was told that I probably made a purchase of four. I told the person I only wanted two but she couldn't correct the order.

She said I could just return the order I didn't want. When I received the product I called to send the product back but got a different story from the customer service. The person I spoke to the day I ordered didn't tell me that the shipping and handling was so expensive (never disclosed either) and that I would only be refunded part of the cost. This is purely deceptive selling and they should be investigated for their selling techniques. My shipping and handling was outlandish. I got ripped off!!!

Not only are the ads deceptive, but the phone scripts are designed to confuse the consumer into doing exactly what you did - order two when you meant to order one. Plus they have many add on products including something to charge you monthly for some product or service. Last time I ordered something like that, several years ago, it was a real ordeal just to get through the actual order process due to the add on services. I think Ramjet said it best: go to a store and pick up the item (As seen on TV type store), at least you don't have to worry about upcharges for s&h to your credit card or monthly charges for some bogus service.

You are correct, but almost all of the products offered on TV are done exactly the same way.  I can't believe it's even legal.

If you think you must have any of those products, I'd recommend you buy it at one the 'As Seen on TV' or other stores that offer these gadgets.  In our area, Menards sells some of them.

At least then you can actually look at it, hold it in your hand to see how crappy it usually is, and know up front how much it actually costs. You might even be able to use the stores return policy with it.

If you can't buy it that way, I'd actually recommend not buying it at all.
