www.hootoo.com hootoo.com did not send a refund or replacement for item returned Santa Clara, California

I bought a LCD for a Macbook from www.hootoo.com on the internet. They shipped a 14 inch screen that was the wrong part. OK - Everybody makes mistakes. I informed them of the error and they said I had to pay for the return shipping - which is absurd seeing how they were the ones that shipped the wrong part. But I returned the part and they recieved it.

After waiting for about a month and never receiving the right part, they said they had none in stock and would send me a refund. Well a year later they still have not sent me a refund. They lie and say it was sent by Paypal - but I did not pay with Paypal, I used their own Merchant account service. I showed them the email that confirmed the payment with a different merchant Service that they provide. They keep insisting that that they paid the refund through Paypal. I don't use Paypal so there is no way they could send me a refund with Paypal.

So they keep lying and this is why I started this blog. I think it is pathetic that a company would use the internet to conduct business is such a dishonest way. It might only be $79 + $15 for return shipping but it is still stealing and dishonest and unethical.

Here is a copy of the last email they sent claiming they refund me through Paypal. Every time I ask them to send me the transaction # for the refund they ignore my request because they don't have one. They are lying.

So don't do any business with this company because you will get ripped off.
