ADE Construction/Gregor Kohn John/Greg Kohn Don't let Itzick Gregor Kohn near your house Fort Lauderdale Florida

On August 25, 2013 My wife and I were referred to ADE construction by Home Advisor. A smooth talker by the name of John came to our house and promise us he will do our kitchen and floor in 6-8 weeks. On september 2, 2013 we signed a contract with John under ADE for $23,500 plus $1,207 for permit in addition of us providing our own marble and other materials.

John was able to convince us to pay everything up front because he claimed that he would have saved us thousands in taxes and other fees. Unfortunately we went alone with the ride since John was such a smooth talker. In less than a week after we gave all the money to him, we were told not to call his office and we should only communicate with him via email.

Knowing myself, I never thought for a moment I would have been taking for a ride with this con because I am a very detail oriented person when it comes to dealing with a company. First and foremost, John never gave us his business card. It wasn't untill 2 months later I realized as to why he never gave us a business card because his Real Name is Itzick Gregor Kohn.

The contract clearly said he will be building a custom maple woods kitchen for us. At the time he came to sell us the job, he said that  he would be giving us everything we wanted because he would be sending his designer to work all the details with us. After calling the office for almost 1 month, he finally sent his so called designed who happened to be his daughter. To be honest, we had to provide our own design that we had gotten from another company and to make that aspect much worst, we had to send that same plan to the so called designer at least 8 times via email because she couldn't even copied the plan we sent her. She informed us that there were things she couldn't do yet via 3D because she had not yet mastered the program.

John/Greg never sent the plan and the permit application to the city until more than 6 weeks later. It took him almost 2 months before he sent his crew to start taking off our old tile. Everyday was a different strugle. At times, he only sent his crew here for 2 hours, some days 3 hours and often time he didn't send anyone here for days to finish the demolition. Basically, he showed up whenever he wants. First, he told me to go and buy my mable with tin-set and mortar before he can even start chopping the floor to take off my all tile. Buying my maple ahead had nothing to do with taking off the old tile. Oll he was doing was buying time.

The tile and our appliances cost us more than $30,000 and were sitting there for more than 2 months. Whereas that more than $30,000 could have stayed in our account and earned interest since we paid cash for just about everything. Even, the city inspector were disgusted by the way they do business. They had a very incompetent supervisor and all they do is lied, lied and lied. One of the City inspector even told me that I should have called help me Howard because that would have been a nice story to cover for thanksgiving. I had my entire family coming from NY for Thanksgiving which was planned for more than 6 moths! At the begining of October, I was so frustracded something happened here and that so called supervisor called that cops on me. He did me a favor because when the cops came here, they felt bad and said we should not have paid them in full of front and they even advised us to call help me Howard. Withing a week, the GC came apologized and said he will do everything to finish our house by thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving came and went and the work wasn't even 50% completed. I was very embarrassed to have had my family coming from NY and didn't have an environment for them to stay. 2 Weeks after thanksgiving was my BD, my wife had planned on having a BBQ here for me and invited my friends and colleagues at least 1 month ahed, then again we didn't have a kitchen, floor and so forth.  We spent more than 4 months without a washer/dryer, no kitchen, the house was so dusty and the owner was very rude to us. We spent new year without the work being completed and he didn't even apologyze to us. Last week, he finally finish but now the permit cannot even be closed because ADE should have submitted a revision of the plan to the City since November 19 and they never did.

After I did some very deep research, I found out that Gregor Itzick Kohn is nothing but a con artis. Since 1996 he has had more complaint about him than company I know. Prior to using ADE, he had used other company almost every 3 months and all he did was messing up many people who had good standing with their GC licence. After spoke with the GC Athony Di Simone, I also realized that Gregor Kohn was just using Di Simone's GC license because Di Simone personally told me he has been in the business for 40 years and never had any complaints against him but in the 6 months he has associated himself with this guys it has been nothing but disaster. All Greg does is get cash from client by paying in full for their jobs up front and gave Di Simone/ADE bad name. I am sure after he finish with ADE, he will be moving to other people to mess up their GC license. He even mess up his own son Jordan's GC license. I strongly believe that the concern authority should put this guy behing bar for a very long time next time he get arrested for these kind of dealings. Please stay away from Itzick Gregor Kohn AKA John.

I keep a log of all my communication with him. he always said he left the company, took jobs elsewhere whereas he is still calling the shots behind the scene. I saw other report on ripoffreport.com and I wish I knew all these thing before I hired this guy.
