Allianzetravel.com Allianz travel insurance Hidden reasons not to pay for cancelation of travel

The airline site allows you to purchase travel insurance, which I did for $201.10. Claim on site 100% trip cancellation, 200% trip interruption, $50,000 medical emergency, emergency transportation $50,000, with 24 hour assistance.  www. etravel.com/priceline protection.

Pricline would not support change of name on my airline ticket to match my passport. After 2 hours of calling and getting someone to answer, called 3 different operators was lied to call Italy, takes 8 days to change name, given a number that was not working. I called Allianz to cancel both my ticket and my husbands. Delta would not let me board and he wasn't go alone.

After sending in my paperwork requested with proven protection cost, Allianz simply said by email, "Thank you for choosing Allianz Global Assistance. Based on the information provided, we regret to inform you that we cannot issue a payment for your claim because:

·       Your insurance program provided Trip Cancellation benefits for very specific reasons. Unfortunately, cancellation due to stolen tickets is not included among those reasons.

Please refer to your plan documents to review your specific plan details."  

Absolutely no reference to REASON why. They kept $2,714.80 plus upgraded seats $78.00.
