When the temporary agency contacted me to begin working with the potential of a full time position with benefits and growth opportunities I was amazed. An Admissions Advisor for higher education. I felt like this had to be too good to be true, I felt like I was finally being recognized from finishing my Bachelor's Degree at a well recognized state university and being paid enough to finally start tackling those student loans. Training was great, the trainer was very exciting and really sold a good product, I see now why she was able to move up into the position she was in within the company. You are not an Admissions Advisor, you are not helping people better themselves, heck you don't even care if they make it through more than a few classes as long as you were able to get them to enroll and pay that $50 application fee you could keep your job another month. People were constantly being fired left and right and it was not longer about the students that we initially thought we were trying to help. They don't care about their students, they don't care about anything but money which is unfortunate because I have someone very close to me who is in the program, who has learned so much and has been hired to a better position with a reputable company. They are so much more concerned about making a quick buck they turn away from what the institution of education is really about- the student. These students are bounced around from advisor to advisor because even the best of them are being let go for not making monthly goals that are at times outrageous. School shouldn't be rushed and that is why these people drop out, focus on finding people who care about education and graduation and not just making some money and letting people with great work ethic and ability go. I now have a job with a great company with job security and I love it because I am not in constant fear of losing my job and can focus on providing quality service. Give your employees and chance and grow with them rather than letting them go and paying your corporate guys so much. Take some of your own business ethics classes (I started at CTU for my masters and loved it but quit because of you and how you treat your employees), quit harassing people with all the phone calls, and focus on your image and what you have to offer.
