ANS Eye Serum Survey Free Sample Eye Cream Scam Castle Rock Colorado

In early June, I did an online survey that looked legit. At the end of the survey, I was forwarded to a page to claim my gifts for completing the survey. Most were newspapers and magazines, but there was also a free sample of a miracle eye cream for which you only had to pay postage, which I foolishly selected. Without knowing or seeing any information to that effect, clicking the picture of the eye cream would enroll me in an automatic monthly shipping program of the eye cream at close to $90 per month. I realized this only once I got my credit card statement that showed 5 charges within two months of that company (Ans Eye Serum) amounting to $279.72. I never got any products from that company, either. Calling the number next to the charges, a call center rep listened to my complaint, explaining that I had signed up for monthly deliveries (which I declined), but that they would be willing to cancel my "subscription". When I asked for a refund, the lady started an entire tirade of why they would not do that and would not let me talk, she simply talked over me. She was obviously very well trained and did not at all listen to what I had to say but read from her script, ignoring whatever I said. Today, I checked the company's website - which I had never seen before as I only used the Survey "gift" selection page - and it indeed states that if you order a free sample you are automatically enrolled in a monthly delivery scheme. However, that condition did not show on the Survey's Gift Selection page. This is an elaborate scam that must involve several parties but the reaction and the constant arguments of the call center agent is proof enough that Ans Eye Serum knows exactly that they are operating a scam.
