My kids and I stayed at the Aston Waikiki Banyan from 8/21/2023 to 8/29/2023 unit 3707 and on 8/26/2023, while getting dressed in the bedroom, I looked up and there was a drone looking in my window while I was naked and changing.  I quickly got dressed and took the attached pictures and reported it to security and the front desk.  I told them specifically where the drone went in after looking in several windows and security told me it was on the 23rd floor and they would contact the police as there are children staying in the building and this was a serious crime.  I was never contacted by police, so obviously it was not reported as I was told!   This is NOT acceptable at all and I will be contacting several agencies as well as HPD for resolution this week!  We paid a lot of money for privacy and security at this place and obviously this is against the law.  I was told on 8/29/2023 that they still have not caught the "Resident" that was operating the drone on the day we departed.

Can't Trust this Bank

AUTHOR: Diana - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, October 02, 2023

Seriously, it is very clear now that customer service is nonexistent with Chase. Who in the world gives 975.00 in one, five and ten dollars? No reputable bank for sure! What a seriously immature response to BAD customer service! Thank you for showing others that their business is not important!

Culpability

AUTHOR: Diana - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, October 02, 2023

Are you seriously kidding me? The hotel is very responsible as it was a resident (verified) that was flying the drone! How can you possibly refute pictures and other residents that saw the drone outside their windows? Again....I will make sure I update all my reviews letting others know that the "hotel" condones this type of illegal activity as KIDS stay there too!

Not Responsible

AUTHOR: Rick - (United States)

POSTED: Sunday, October 01, 2023

Whoever did this is a horrible creep, and I am very sorry this happened to you. But the hotel is not responsible for this incident. What do you want them to do, black out all the windows? Why didn’t you just close the curtains while you were changing? You don’t even know if the perpetrator was a guest at the hotel, but even if they were, I’m not understanding why you think the hotel did something wrong here. They don’t have an obligation to call the police for you. You are free to call the police yourself.
