   Buying vehicles sight unseen over the Internet is a risky business.  Sellers looking to unload lemons prefer Internet sales.   This site is chock full of reports from vehicle buyers who got a nasty surprise once the vehicle was delivered.   If you can't have the vehicle independently inspected before handing over your money,  your purchase is essentially a roll of the dice.

I am a buyer on ebay, and have purchased and sold several vehicles on ebay motors for myself and others with excellent results. On Mar. 28, 2011 I placed the winning bid on a 2001 Cadillac Seville that I considered to be a good reliable for my grandson. The winning bid was $3,649.00.

CLEAN LEATHER SEATS IN GREAT CONDITION! COLD A/C! NICE SOUND SYSTEM! NOTHING IS LEFT OUT! THIS CAR HAS BEEN TESTED, DRIVEN AND IS A SURE WINNER! CALL FOR OFFERS There are no electrical problems with this vehicle. No defects. This vehicle does not have any door dings. The vehicle engine runs very, very smooth. I deposited $200. via Paypal as the seller requested, and sent cashiers check for $4081.00 which included $432.00 transer fees. Seller said he would find a transport company for vehicle but failed to do so. After 5 weeks of delay, I had to find a hauler which cost me $1500.00. I now have a total of $5718.00 invested in this vehicle.
Cadillac arrives July 1, 2011. It has deep scratches all arround, dents, and scrapes. Two flat tires, front tires completly wore out, Air conditioning not working, oil leaks, coolent fluid leaks, interior seat with cuts, rips and tares, interior roof damaged, several warning lights on, wires hanging from turn signals which do not work, one headlight not working, and battery dead.
eBay buyer protection plan only covers vehicles less than ten years old. Auction insurance did reimburse $700. to defray shipping costs.
I consider the vehicle to be worth approximatly $500. salvage value.
I am 72 years old and this transaction has been very stressful as I trusted this dealer and eBay 100%.
The main reason for this report, is to warn others of the pitfalls possible. Be careful.
