My dog was injured very severely here during his first day “trial” using their dog daycare services. I never received any calls about my dog being injured during the day, but when I picked him up he had a huge puncture would on his neck, and he was shaking like a leaf. When I called them to address the injury, they said they didn’t see it, so it must have happened on the car ride home.

My vet said it was a clear dog bite, and that he was not surprised that the dog was injured at this facility. Apparently they have a billing track record of dogs being injured and have even had dogs escape their facility. I am upset that I left my dog at this place for almost six hours. I feel like I am responsible for the abuse that took place, so I want to warn others to steer clear.

I also want to note that when I called the establishment and asked to speak to the owner, it took her over a week to return my voicemails and calls. When I finally spoke to her and asked her about the policies at her daycare, she became very combative over the telephone, telling me to "cry all I want, because her brother is a top lawyer in Connecticut, and she doesn't have to deal with simple things like injuries that are 'everyday occurrences in a daycare environment."

I am just appalled that this woman owns a business and that she gets away with such atrocities!

I was alarmed to find this report against my company so I decided to do some investigating. I started by giving a call to all of our clients with the name Stephanie to see if they had any similar stories to report. Fortunately, these clients had no complaints and were not familiar with the report in question. I then gave a call to all clients that came to our facility during the week of the report. I was pleased to find that none of these clients made this report either.

Just to be sure, I spoke with a couple local vet offices and they also have not had any visits regarding our facility. I had a feeling this was a fraudulent report from the start, but I can now confirm that it is in fact fraudulent. To anyone reading this, our facility NEVER lets any type of wound go unnoticed. If a dog gets a scratch or scrape from playing, parents are notified immediately and the wound is treated appropriately. We have a vet tech on call 24/7 and we take any booboos big or small very seriously. Also if a dog is wounded here and it requires vet treatment, we always cover the vet bills or credit the clients with daycare days, whichever they prefer.

I do not claim my business to be perfect or exempt from mishaps, because in the reality of it all, my trained staff is working with strong animals that have sharp teeth and claws and sometimes mistakes occur. Animals, no matter how domesticated they are, can be unpredictable at times, which is why our staff goes through rigorous training so they can better read our clients to avoid mishaps. We own our mistakes and always work towards creating ways to prevent any incidents from occurring in the future.

What I can say though is that we always take responsibility for whatever occurs on the play floor and would never disregard an owner’s concerns. I find it very sad that someone would feel the need to pick on a small business, especially during a global pandemic where there are real atrocities happening all around us. I hope whoever posted this finds peace and can let the hatred in their heart dissolve. I wish nothing but good things for the writer because I’m sure even though their action is unjust, it was probably fueled by insecurity, which at the end of the day is sad. Believe in yourself grumpy pants! Try to spread love instead of hatred and false accusations. These times are too serious to be picking on one another. If anyone reading this would like to give a call to find out more about this situation, we are waiting by the phone to hear from you.

Your claim have several issues. The biggest is that you appear to have left the facility without notifying them of the injury and getting it documented before you left. Because without notifying them at that point, they are correct in saying that it could have happened somewhere else. Your claims of severity are also in question as if it was that severe why didn't you bring it up when you picked up your dog? If it was that severe how long was it from the time you left the facility to take him to the vet?

Your vets comments while I am sure you think they prove your dog was injured, they are really irrelevant. As how specifically does he know this, and depending on how he knows it he may actually be in violation of privacy laws for even making that comment to you.

I am not going to justify the comments of the owner. But again depending on what you signed they may be right. You likely signed a release of liability that states that dog bites are possible, and that they are not responsible.
