I contracted Betim Berisha (owner & operator) of BBI Autosport to perform some exhaust upgrades to my AMG Mercedes. Unfortunately during the course of the upgrades they damaged the engine and it either needed to be rebuilt or replaced. They didn't have the money or enough insurance to cover the damage. When I took the car to the dealer, they said the repair could run around $27-30k!!! Betim admitted responsibility & agreed to an out of court settlement to repay me a portion of the damages. Unfortunately, he's no better at keeping his word (or agreement in this case) and paying the settlement than he was at performing the original work.
Be warned, that even though he seems like a good guy, and tells you he can do what you want to customize your automobile, do you really want to risk your expensive Porsche, Audi, or Mercedes to a guy who can't guarantee it'll work when you get it back? Do you want to risk turning it over to a guy who can't (or won't) fix it if he damages it? Good intentions & promises are worthless if not backed up by action. Unfortunately with this company their actions speak volumes, and they say the company isn't trustworthy.

BBI is reputable and outstanding

My experience is just the opposite as is that of each of the many customers i have referred there. BBI is particularly outstanding with Porsches. I am not a personal friend of anyone there, just a customer and Betim has consistently bent over backwards and under budget on every project i have had him work on. Many of the upgrades were even done for free. He is reachable by phone at any given time as well which is handy when you track an expensive car like i do. In my estimation, the criticisms voiced by the Mercedes owner above have no basis in fact and should not be used to judge this enterprise. People should go to the shop and look at the products they create and work they do (and come to their own judgment) instead of relying on an internet critique.

oh really?

I am sorry but I find this report hard to believe. I am a long time customer of BBI and I have nothing but great things to say in all areas of their work. They have done tuning, fabrication, consultation as well as some warranty work for me. Their customer service and workmanship have been phenomenal. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my cars.

In the time that has passed since I posted this report, I was contacted by the shop and received an offer to settle my claim. I have accepted the offer, so as of now, I am considering this case closed and the agreement to "make right" the damages has been completed.
