Better Business Bureau Better Business Bureau of Las Vegas Hides Recommends Fraudulent Business's Las Vegas, Nevada

I called The Better Business Bureau located in Las Vegas, Nevada. I asked them for a reputable upholsterer. They gave me the name of Regal Upholstery and told me there weren't any complaints on that business located at 4335 West Charleston Blvd. Las Vegas, Nevada 89102. My guard was down, because The Better Business Bureau recommended Regal Upholtery. I then called Regal Upholtery and told them I wanted to reupholster my seven foot sofa. It is a family business. I made an appointment for one of the employee's to come to my home in Henderson, Nevada. The 75 year old mother of the upholsterer came out with material samples. I picked out a sand colored velvet and gave her $700.00 down. The contract said all new DOWN CUSHIONS. The balance was $1,500. When the sofa was reupholstered, it was delivered to my house and taken off of their truck uncovered. They carried it into my family room and, I paid them the remaining $1,500 without inspecting it. I trusted them unfortunately.Right after they left, I noticed dirt on the material and discovered to my horror, that the cushions were filled with BATTING and not DOWN as stated on my contract. Also, the cushions weren't measured correctly, one larger than the other. The upholstery job was very unprofessional and piping was missing around the edge of the sofa. I demanded my $2,200 back and Regal Upholstery refused to give me my money back. I went to The Better Busines Bureau with my cushions stuffed with BATTING. They told me I was the only one who ever complained about Regal and that they would remain a member of the BBB. I think that the BBB hides their complaints. I can't believe that I am the only one who ever complained. I am in the process of suing Regal Upholstery and I will bring all of the cushions filled with BATTING into court. I am very angry at the BBB for recommending Regal Upholstery.
